Eliza Martinez

Celia Eliza Martinez has lived Jan. 19, 1941 - Jun. 21, 2021. Now serving the Lord, she leaves behind her husband of 60 years Rudolfo H. Martinez Jr, three daughters Mary Elizabeth (David) Garcia, Mary Ester (Benjamin) Miller and Mary Evangaline (Oscar) Salinas and one son Rudolph Edward (Thelma) Martinez 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
She will be reunited with her parents Juan and Guadalupe Rios, sister Lydia De La Garza and brother John Rios.
As a Homemaker, seamstress, cake decorator, and Dillards sales associate worker of 18 years, she will be remembered mostly for her love of all her children, whether attending concerts or sporting events, playing board games, cards or lending an ear and sharing her wisdom. She has always served as an inspiration after she returned to school and received her GED. Even through her years of illness and surgeries, she drew strength from her faith. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary daily. She made it her mission to hand them out and teach anyone who wanted to learn how powerful prayer could be. Her dedication was an inspiration to her family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Glynn, Adrian, Robby, Justin, Jason and Nicholas. Honorary pallbearer will be Nick.
