Elvira B. Cantu

"Elvira B. Cantu passed away July 22, 2021 in Katy, Texas. At the time she was 79 years, shy of her 80th birthday . Elvira was born on September 3, 1940 to Elvira Ramos and Celestino Bernal in Corpus Christi, Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, paternal and maternal grandparents; sister, Olivia B. Ramirez; brothers, Celestino, Max and Roy Bernal. 

Elvira is survived by three sons and one daughter, Thomas (Vicki) Cantu, Arnold (Nancy) Cantu, Robert (Elizabeth) Cantu and Janet C. Erol; eight grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends; four siblings, Richard (Yolanda) Bernal, Estela (Fernando) Gonzales, Gilbert (Lolly) Bernal and Emma Friend.

In 1961 she graduated from RMHS, Elvira had several jobs, mostly in the medical field. She married on March 18, 1964 to Thomas M. Cantu, Sr., upon his death in 2014 they had been married 50 years. They were both hard workers and enjoyed dancing and gambling."
