Lauro "Wito" Ramos, Jr., age 86, passed away on September 23, 2022. He was born on September 13, 1936 to Lauro and Asuncion. He served in the United States Air Force from December 14, 1954 to February 6, 1959. Lauro was employed by Corpus Christi Fire Department. He enjoyed playing golf, playing pool, barbecuing and spending time with family. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, service in the community, devotion to family and dedication to work. Lauro was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.
Lauro Ramos, Jr., is preceded in death by his father, Lauro Ramos, Sr., mother, Asuncion Coleman; brothers, Abel Ramos and Homero Coleman; sisters, Benita Limon, Lucinda Ramos, Emelia Mota and Sara Melve.
Lauro is survived by his wife, Dolores Ramos, children, Ana Laura Ramos, Lauro “Larry” Ramos III (Cynthia), three grandchildren, Joey Magallan III (Crystal), Lynette Parsons (Matt), Alyssa Ramos (Chris Arisco), six great-grandchildren, IJ “Jojo” Magallan IV, Josiah Magallan, Trinity Hargis, Destanee Hargis, Miles Parsons, Remi Parsons, siblings, Janie Garcia (Ricky), Tomas Coleman (Lily), Petra Alvarado (Ben), numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Corpus Christi Cathedral. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Chris Arisco, Matt Parsons, Albert Coleman, Art Silva, Jr., Richard Garcia and Rupert Lujan. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Magallan III, Tristan Silva, Jose Rodriguez, Mario Silva, Christopher Frank Balboa, Ray Euresti, Jr., and Michael Silva.
