Marina R. Calvillo

Marina was born November 16, 1939 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. She married and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where she worked hard to raise eight children as a single mother. Then after she raised four of her grandchildren as her own. She loved to dance, play bingo and most of all family gatherings.

She is survived by her four daughters, Rachel (Jerry Silva), Maria (Martin) Bernal, Martina and Ludivinal Calvillo; her son, David Calvillo, Lisa (Hugo) Garcia, Robert (Valerie) Calvillo, Monica (Lorenzo) Espinoza, Natalie (Rogelio) Ruiz; Grandchildren, Anna (Alysa) Bernal, Stefanie (Monica) Bernal, Elizabeth and Jerry Bernal, Martin (Michele) Bernal, Jr., Jarrett (Jackie) Silva, Rachel and Rebecca Calvillo, David Jr. Calvillo and Vivi and her 22 great-grandchildren she loved so much.

Marina is preceded in death and reunited with her sons, Luis, Ventura and Oscar Calvillo and one grand-daughter, Michele Calvillo.

A visitation for Marina will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A vigil service and rosary will occur Monday, August 29, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A chapel service will occur Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. An interment will occur Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78408.
