Michael Arispe Flores, 60, of Corpus Christi, passed away, Wednesday, February 02, 2022, at a local hospital. He was born September 12, 1961 in Corpus Christi and had made Corpus his home. Michael was a loving father, uncle, and brother.

He is survived by his three sons, Desmin, Joshua, and Caleb. Michael’s surviving siblings are Silvia Flores of Austin; Jan Florez of Fort Worth; Maria Chambers, Vincent Flores , and Anastacio “Bud” Flores, all of Corpus Christi. He is preceded in death by his wife Mindy Moreno Flores, his brother Luz Ramon Flores, and his parents, Anastacio and Guadalupe Arispe Flores. His nieces and nephews are Elizabeth (Lisa) Shipman; Erica, Eric, and Jessica Flores; Joseph (JD) and Rebecca Chambers; and George Flores.

Michael worked for LabCorp and had celebrated 25 years with the company in December 21, 2021. He graduated from W. B. Ray in 1980 and was a member of the “Texan” band, playing the trumpet. Upon graduation, Michael joined the United States Marine Corp, receiving an honorable discharge for his service. He served his country proudly and loved being known as “Marine Mike.”

He was an avid Astros fan and loved watching Norte Dame football. He enjoyed “going for a ride” in his car with his sons. Michael will be remembered as being super silly, sweet, and being good a friend, always willing to lend a helpful hand.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on February 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Internment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
