Ramon Rocha Canizales

Ramon Canizales, age 80, passed away in his home on December 19, 2021. Ramon moved from Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Corpus Christi in 1979 and worked as a baker for then Memorial Hospital for well over 30 years where he delighted hospital patients and cafeteria customers alike with his baked goods, especially with his amazing cinnamon rolls. Ramon loved collecting wristwatches and wall clocks. He also loved reading world news and eating lots of fresh home cooked meals. He will be remembered for his strength of character, his unwavering love and dedication to his family, his work and his craft.

Left to cherish his memory are:
7 children: Blanca, Patricia, Rosa (Jesus Oliva), Dora, Clara, Norma (Rene Figueroa) and Juan (Jerry Canizales; 12 grandchildren, Adriana, Jorge, Alex, Samantha, Jacob, Gabriela, Jonathan, Blanca Patricia, Jasmin, Jaquelin, Jezebel and Jayden and 7 great-grandchildren.
His kind, warm, and generous personality will be greatly missed. We know he is in Heaven reunited with his beloved wife, Dora Ofelia.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Having the honor to serve as pallbearers are Jorge Oliva, Jonathan Garcia, Alex Oliva, Jacob Figueroa, Chris Martinez and Fred Vera. Honorary pallbearer is Jadyn Canizales and Jorge Oliva Jr.
