Rebecca (Becky) Elizabeth Cruz, 86, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Becky was the most loving, caring, and kind person and always had the purest, most giving heart for all of her family and friends. Devoting her life as she selflessly cared for others, she worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Unit at Spohn Shoreline Hospital, Corpus Christi Women's Clinic, and the Office of Dr. Ronald Woodson until her retirement.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Matilde Sanchez; mother-in-law, Fidela Cruz; father-in-law, Edward Cruz, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Estella Cruz and Elvia Sanchez; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Becky is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Eddie; son, Rick (Ronie) Cruz; daughter, Debbie Cruz; grandchildren, Eric Cruz, Crystal (Mike) Ramos, Richard Cruz, Paul Nunez and James Nunez; great-grandchildren, Erica Cruz, Cameron Ramos and Chase Ramos; and great-great-grandchildren, Malachi and Maverick. She is also survived by brothers, Roy Sanchez, Jr. and Ruben (Irma) Sanchez; sisters, Linda Ortega and Ruth Clark; brother-in-law, Roger Cruz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home at 1222 Morgan Avenue on Friday, August 19, 2022, beginning at 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at Segunda Iglesia Bautista at 5405 Carroll Lane on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11:30 am with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
