Rita Soliz Barbosa

Corpus Christi - Rita Solis Barbosa born May 22, 1930 passed peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Aurelia Solis; one brother, five sisters and her son Juan G. Barbosa.

Rita leaves behind one sister, Esperanza (Antonio, deceased) Palomo.

Rita was a wonderful, loving and caring mother who devoted her entire life to caring for her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Gilberto (Esperanza) Barbosa, Antonio Barbosa Jr., Carolina Barbosa Aldape, Rolando (Margarita) Barbosa, Orfelinda Barbosa, Ruben (Melida; deceased) Barbosa, Ramon Barbosa, Aurora Barbosa (Anthony) Parlamas, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a handful of great-great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Rita was gifted with the love for sewing, crocheting, quilting and gardening. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Saxet Funeral Home, 4001 Leopard St., Corpus Christi, TX 78408 on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m.; Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Chapel Service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Saxet Funeral Home Chapel at 9:00 a.m.;

Proceeding to Rosehill Memorial Park for Gravesite Service at 10:00 a.m.
