Zoraida F Truan

Zoraida F. Truan, age 93, passed away on August 29, 2022. She was born on August 7, 1929.  Zoraida was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Zoraida provided great service in the hospitality industry. She enjoyed gardening, planting and watching her flowers bloom. She also found great joy in playing the piano, dominoes and bingo, at which she won quite often.  She loved finance and was our family accountant. She also loved her birds, she had two cockatiels named Smokey and Sugar with whom she enjoyed having a conversation, so sweet. Zoraida loved to stay in shape by dancing, which she was very good at. She was a perfectionist and meticulous at everything.  Zoraida will always be remembered for her devotion to family. She absolutely adored each and every one of her family members; she made sure her family was well taken care of and would sacrifice everything to make sure they were happy. Zoraida was an amazing seamstress. Her faith in our Lord was immense. She would take her grandchildren to church in her van, which she absolutely enjoyed driving. 
Zoraida is preceded in death by her parents, Eleazar and Felipa Flores, brothers, Eleazar (Manuela) Flores, Jr., Eloy Flores, son, Miguel A. Truan, grandsons, Jose Truan, Jr., David Ray Truan and granddaughter Ginger Truan.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Jose (Anita) Truan, Grace (Rolando) Garza, Charles (Rose) Truan, Rosemary (Zack) Piercy, Humberto (Rene) Truan, Victor (Anna) Truan, Barbara Truan-Riojas, grandchildren, Monica Garcia, Marie Uribe, Johnny (Tina) Navarro, Jesse Navarro, Tomas Uribe, Julie Gonzales (Eddie), Charles Truan, Zach (Shannon) Piercy, Angela (Jabari) Gordon, Christopher Truan, Ashley Truan, Drake Truan, Victor (Maggie) Truan, Jr.  John Michael Truan, Cassandra Truan, John David (Seneca) Truan, Roel (Tammy) Chapa, II, Marilynn Chapa, Crystal Garcia, Miguel "Mikey" Truan, Tina Marie (Danny) Castro, and numerous great-grandchildren, brothers, Efrain (Vangie) Flores and Eluid (Angie) Flores and nieces Anna (Gilbert) Medrano, Maria Flores, Gloria (Chris) Garcia, Alma (Eliseo) Cantu and nephew Roel Flores.
Visitation will be begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 with a Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. that same afternoon at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve at pallbearers are sons Jose A. Truan, Charles E. Truan, Humberto E. Truan, Victor M. Truan, grandson John D. Truan and great-grandson Tristan A. Truan. Honorary pallbearers will be Benito Garcia, Jr., Roel Chapa II, Victor Truan, Jr., John M. Truan, Zach Piercy, Charles Truan, Johnny Navarro, Jesse Navarro Tomas Uribe, Christopher Truan and Drake Truan.
